I just got my mushrooms! How do I use them?
We are so excited you're starting your mushrooms for wellness journey! We have mushroom supplements that can help support the healthy function of many systems.
We love to "stack" (take more than one type of mushroom at a time)! However, if you're new to mushroom nutrition, it may be best to introduce one product at a time as they affect everyone differently.
We start the morning with ½ tsp of one of our EVERBLENDS in our daily smoothie. Then take capsules of whatever the moment might call for mid day, and we might end the day with Chill Now reishi capsules in the evening or 30-60 minutes before bed to support optimal relaxation + sleep quality.
Remember to take your mushrooms with food to avoid any tummy trouble.*
Check out great recipes using our EVERBLENDS on our Mushroom Recipes Blog or download our FREE Favourite Mushroom Extract Recipe Collection as a PDF. So many yummy recipes inside!
*We always recommend consulting your health care provider before starting any new supplements. They will best be able to create and/or recommend a mushroom wellness routine to support your healthy living goals.
When should I take my mushrooms?
Generally speaking, one can take any functional mushroom at any time of day. Some factors that come into play and will help guide you are the functional mushroom health benefits you're after and the effects of that individual functional mushroom.
For example, Cordyceps is known for its support of healthy energy levels and is typically suggested to take in the morning and/or early afternoon. On the other hand, Reishi is known to support healthy sleep and mood; if looking to support sleep, taking it in the evening may be best, in comparison to taking it any time of day for mood.
Which functional mushroom product is right for me?
Which product or functional mushroom is right for you will depend on multiple factors: your current health status, your desired health outcome, your lifestyle, and the benefits of each mushroom. Because this is so individualized, we've created our very own quiz to help determine which one is best for you. Click here to take our free mushroom quiz.
Our product line consists of 6 single mushroom products in capsules and 3 multi-mushroom blend supplements available as extract powders. Mushroom capsules, or mushroom pills, offer the convenience of consuming them anywhere and anytime. In contrast, mushroom extract blends offer a creative way to consume them in any recipe.
You can mix the blends into smoothies or shakes, coffee or tea, protein powder, oatmeal, pancakes, chia pudding, yogurt, dressings, sauces, and soups – endless possibilities. They add an umami flavour and can turn regular snacks and recipes into superfoods.
Can I take multiple mushroom products in one day, and how much of each product can I take?
Yes, you can take multiple functional mushrooms at a time each day! Our team often does this depending on what mushrooms we feel drawn to for that day, how we feel, and the current season of life.
All our products are dosed according to Health Canada's recommendations and can be found on each product page so that you can total how much of each mushroom extract you would get by stacking them.
To better understand how much of each functional mushroom you can take per day, it's essential to know what extraction is, what quantity crude equivalent (QCE) is, and the daily max QCE per Health Canada's mushroom monographs.*
*We always recommend consulting your healthcare provider before starting any new supplements. They will best be able to create and/or recommend a mushroom wellness routine to support your healthy living goals.
How frequently should I take my mushrooms?
Functional mushroom extracts work best with prolonged use. Including them in drinks or recipes or taking capsules daily will help deliver optimal results. We like to change up which mushrooms we take depending on personal needs, and often we stack a few together.
In general, every day is a good day for adding mushroom supplements to your wellness routine!*
*We always recommend consulting your health care provider before starting any new supplements. They will best be able to create and/or recommend a mushroom wellness routine to support your healthy living goals.
Should I take my supplements with food or on an empty stomach?
It is Health Canada’s recommendation that all mushroom supplements and extracts be consumed WITH FOOD to avoid digestive upset. Most of our customers have reported that they can take their mushroom supplement anytime without any trouble, but it’s quite common for people who are new to using concentrated mushroom extracts to experience some digestive irregularity for a day or two when beginning a new routine. It is best to discontinue use if an upset stomach occurs for more than 48 hours. Always consult your health care practitioner for the best advice in your specific situation.
When do I take my mushrooms for the best results?
Generally speaking, one can take any functional mushroom at any time of day. Some factors that come into play and will help guide you are the functional mushroom health benefits you're after and the effects of that individual functional mushroom.
For example, Cordyceps is known for supporting healthy energy levels and is typically suggested to take in the morning and/or early afternoon. On the other hand, Reishi is known to maintain healthy sleep and mood; if looking to support sleep, taking it in the evening may be best compared to taking it any time of day for mood.
How do I use functional mushrooms?
If you're new to functional mushrooms, you can start with one functional mushroom or product or start with multiple. We always recommend speaking with a health care provider prior to trying any new supplement. Starting with one product at a time may be best as they each can affect everyone differently.
Here is what is generally best when introducing functional mushrooms to your routine:
- Consult your health care provider prior to introducing any supplement.
- Start with one functional mushroom or product for a period before adding another product to your routine.
- Research supports long-term and consistent supplementation with functional mushrooms for optimal health benefits – 3 weeks is an excellent place to start.
- Three weeks allows for optimization of that mushroom supplement, and determining the best time of day and the best dose for oneself will differ between consumers.
- Much like an elimination diet where one food is added in or removed at a time to determine its effects, this can help provide insight for a personalized and unique addition to one's wellness routine.

What are functional mushrooms?
Functional mushrooms, also called mushroom supplements, are superfoods that have been used in various herbal practices worldwide for thousands of years. They are not psychedelics and they won't get you high.
Mushroom supplements’ popularity has grown because they can help maintain overall health and well-being and support many different systems in our bodies.
These are SMART mushrooms!
What does “fruiting body only” mean?
We hope you weren't looking for a short answer. Time for some education! We are proud to tell you that our mushroom extracts and supplements come from the fruiting body only, and here’s why:
In order to speed up the growing process and keep costs manageable in a difficult marketplace, many commercial mushroom producers grow their products indoors on grain. When their mushrooms reach maturity, it isn't possible to separate the mycelium (root system) from the grain substrate on which it was grown.
However, it IS possible to remove the fruiting bodies themselves from both the grain substrate and the mycelium (we know this because we grow functional mushrooms in our homeschool classroom this way as part of our science curriculum - lots of fun - really fast and easy - lots of learning - highly recommend it for kids).
When we grow our own mushrooms at home, we harvest the fruiting bodies and enjoy them with dinner, but we have never eaten the grain substrate or mycelium on which they grew. That part goes into the compost bin at our house.
Here's what troubles us - instead of harvesting only the fruiting bodies, which contain the highest concentrations of beneficial compounds, some producers take the whole mass of grain, mycelium, and mushrooms and grind it all up together and then call it mushroom extract. The truth is it's actually more grain and root system than mushroom. There are mushrooms in it, but these are not pure mushroom extract products.
Of course, the grains and mycelium do have nutritional value and may have a place in holistic nutrition - but they lack the high percentages of beneficial compounds, like Beta-D-glucans, that most consumers are looking for when they seek out the benefits of functional mushrooms. This is why you won't find any bioactive compound percentages or extraction ratios listed on the mushroom supplement products made from mycelium on grain.
Our pharmaceutical science and natural health practitioner team agree that high quality functional mushroom products have no grain or other growing substrate included.
Other producers grow their mushrooms this way because it’s a quick, easy and inexpensive way to mimic what happens when mushrooms grow in nature where it takes up to an entire year for each mushroom to reach its mature fruiting body stage. We totally respect that. But, why do they not make their products from the fruiting bodies only if they want to sell them as functional mushrooms?
Perhaps the answer is to establish two different markets in this space so that consumers who care (like those of you who have read this far - well done!) can make an educated choice about whether they want to buy a nutrition supplement with the benefits of mycelium on grain, or a concentrated functional mushroom supplement made from fruiting bodies only.
In the end, it all comes down to cost. Whole fruiting body extracts are understandably much more expensive to produce. The cost to consumers for these two types of products cannot be compared for good reason - it would be like comparing Timex to Rolex. Quality always speaks for itself.
We proudly source our functional mushrooms from deep mountainous regions around the world, far away from industrial cities, where they grow in their natural habitat, with lots of fresh air, the way Mother Nature intended. Mushrooms in nature breathe oxygen and gather nutrients from the ecosystem of living things in the ground around them. Mother Nature doesn't get it wrong when she builds a mushroom - and that's why our mushroom extracts have substantial percentages of verified compounds.
Mushroom extracts have been an important part of Traditional Chinese culture for thousands of years, so the research, cultivation, and extraction facilities across Europe and Asia are light years ahead of any producer in Canada or the United States. Sourcing our mushrooms from the most advanced and sustainable cultivation areas on the planet is the only way to ensure we provide the highest quality, most potent mushroom supplement products.
Our mushrooms come from suppliers with USDA Organic, Non-GMO, Kosher, and EcoCert certifications.
Are your mushrooms organic certified?
Yes! The mushroom extracts we use in all of our mushroom supplements are grown outdoors on organic certified farms and come to us with USDA Organic Certifications.
Eversio Wellness is a USDA Organic certified company and you can find our certification profile on the USDA Organic Integrity Database here.
We also use USDA Organic Certified vegan capsules!
Are your mushrooms gluten-free?
Absolutely! They are gluten-free. They are just mushrooms! Our products are made from whole fruiting body mushrooms.*
In manufacturing our capsule products, we use NOP / USDA-certified organic pullulan capsules. Pullulan is produced from starch by the fungus Aureobasidium pullulans.
As a polysaccharide derived from starch, pullulan is inherently free from gluten. Additionally, the manufacturing process effectively removes any potential gluten contamination, ensuring that the final pullulan product is safe for individuals with celiac disease or gluten sensitivity.
The excipients (flow aids that are required for machines to fill very fine mushroom extracts into capsules) are also gluten free.
Here's a description of any excipient that might be used during encapsulation:
1. What is Oryza Sativa (Rice) Hull Powder? This innovation organic excipient is called Nu-FLOW® and is made from organic rice hulls that are sterilized and ground to a fine powder. Its unique functionality comes from the fact that ‘Mother Nature’ causes the rice plant to take up silica from the soil and concentrate it in the hulls of the rice, thereby producing a natural alternative to silicon dioxide. LEARN MORE.
2. What is Microcrystalline Cellulose? Commonly known as MCC this is a naturally occurring polymer – made of glucose. LEARN MORE.
3. What is Magnesium Stearate? It is a naturally occurring nutrient that represents a part of every type of fat. A small piece of dark chocolate has up to 5g of stearates. Also found in coconut oil, cocoa butter, and olive oil. LEARN MORE.
4. What is Dicalcium Phosphate? – A mineral derived from phosphoric acid. Used as a supplement or antacid and as a source of calcium. LEARN MORE.
*Please note that we do not currently hold a Gluten Free certification.
Are your products made from mycelium on grain (myceliated biomass)?
ABSOLUTELY NOT!
Our mushroom supplements and powdered extract blends are made from whole fruiting body functional mushrooms that are cultivated on organic certified farms.
When they are fully mature, our mushrooms are removed from all mycelium and growing substrates (logs) that have nourished them through their growing cycle, then they’re dried in the sun and sent to an extraction facility.
What are extraction ratios and why do they matter? (8:1 - 12:1 - 15:1)
The extraction ratio of each functional mushroom extract identifies how much dried mushroom was used to create the serving you receive.
For instance, our 15:1 extracts are produced by starting with 15 kg of dried mushroom fruiting bodies. A hot water and/or alcohol extraction method is used to release the compounds and remove any unwanted contaminants. This decoction is then spray dried down to 1 kg of a potent mushroom extract with all of the beneficial compounds from the original 15 kg of dried mushrooms.
We do this because of the realistic convenience of taking 1g of extract instead of having to take 15g for the same benefit.
Companies that don’t list extraction ratios or percentages of bioactive compounds (such as Beta-D-glucans) are likely selling 1:1 products and you would need to consume a lot of them to get the same benefits as high extraction ratio products.
Is the quality or potency of functional mushroom extracts affected when they are heated?
Absolutely not! All of the mushroom extracts we use in our mushroom supplement products have already been through a hot water or hot water and alcohol extraction process that ensures and maximizes the bioavailability of beneficial compounds like beta-d glucans for supporting healthy immune system function, triterpenoids as antioxidants, and cordycepin to maintain healthy energy levels. Additional heating does not reduce their potency or effectiveness.
What’s an adaptogen?
Adaptogens are naturally occurring substances that support occasional stress by stabilizing and optimizing physiological functions. Rather than serving a single targeted purpose, they adapt their healing properties to whatever your body needs at a given time to maintain optimal health.
Do you own your own mushroom farm?
We have close relationships with sustainable producers who are highly respected globally. These farms are not owned or operated by Eversio Wellness, but members of our team visit them to verify sustainable practices, worker treatment, and quality assurance standards and are treated like family when they do.
Our producers have USDA Organic and Non-GMO and are committed to the development of scientific research into innovative extraction and testing technologies.
Our mushroom extracts are rigorously third-party lab tested to verify bioactive compounds, quality, and safety above and beyond the standard expectations. Once our extracts have passed rigorous local testing, all formulating, blending, encapsulating, packaging, labeling, and shipping are completed in British Columbia, Canada.
Where do your mushrooms come from?
One of the most common questions we get from our customers is, "Why do you source your mushrooms from China?"
The answer is simple and rooted in integrity and centuries of ancient Daoist philosophy called Di Dao.
Dì Dào is the concept of growing mushrooms and herbs in their spiritual and native homeland - the preferred environment, atmospheric energy, pressure, and altitude required to grow and thrive.
When mushrooms and herbs are grown Dì Dào, they deliver their intended spiritual intention and potency to the body.
Contrastingly, when functional mushrooms are not grown Dì Dào and are instead grown in labs on grain, rice, sorghum, oats, or even wood away from their natural environment, they inevitably lack quality and their innate energetic potency.
In short, we proudly source our functional mushrooms from deep mountainous regions of North East China, far from industrial towns, where they grow in their natural habitat, with plenty of fresh air, the way Mother Nature intended.
Mushrooms in nature breathe oxygen and acquire nourishment from the ecosystem of living organisms in the wood they grow on.
Mother Nature doesn't get it wrong when she builds a mushroom - and that's why you’ll find percentages of beneficial bioactive compounds, like beta-d-glucans, and secondary metabolites in our products and always listed right on the label.
Sourcing our mushrooms from our friends in the most advanced and sustainable historic cultivation areas on the planet is the only way to ensure we are providing the highest quality, most potent, high vibration functional mushroom products we can.
Do you sell psilocybin microdose products?
None of our products contain psilocybin.
We are happy to share what we know about psilocybin and can direct you to our sister website www.eversiolabs.com where you can learn about who we are in the psychedelic space.
Essentially, Eversio Labs a Health Canada licensed, privately owned and operated manufacturer of whole fruiting body psychedelic mushrooms and natural psilocybin. Our Controlled Substances Licence allows us to possess, produce, and deliver psychedelic compounds for purposes of research and development. Eversio Labs can provide these products to registered clinical trials and researchers with a Health Canada licence to possess the product.
As psilocybin is still an illegal substance to possess in Canada, there are no commercially available products containing this substance that are legally sold to the general public. Anything you do find for sale online or in a dispensary is an illegal substance that has not been regulated by Health Canada or any other regulatory body.
We look forward to being able to provide standardized, nature-sourced psilocybin to Canadians in need through Health Canada's Special Access Program (SAP) in the future. You can read more about this at www.eversiolabs.com.

Is your Reishi wild or cultivated?
Eversio’s Reishi mushrooms are grown on organic farms where cultivation has a few advantages over wild collection. The biggest difference is that cultivated Reishi is highly standardized, meaning that all of the Reishi grown on one farm is virtually identical.
Wild collected Reishi is considered a bit of a “potluck” where the forager goes into a forest and finds Reishi growing on a variety of trees. They may even be different species of Ganoderma, and certainly, they will be different based on the environments in which they grow. Some of the Reishi may be years old and some may be newly fruited. Some may have experienced severe challenges while others may have had gentle lives. The end result is a wide variety, even from one forager in one forest.
Cultivation solves the problem of this random range of mushrooms. The standard method of organic Reishi cultivation is to grow the fruiting bodies on logs. The type of tree that the Reishi naturally prefers is cut into logs in the forest and used to grow the Reishi. These Reishi farms are in the mountains at high altitudes and are established close to where the trees have been cut. We consider this system semi-wild. Our growers are extremely careful about the water source, always assuring that no industry or other polluters are polluting the water that is used in cultivation. Chemicals and pesticides are not used by our growers making the Reishi organic, whether certified or not. All of our products are USDA organic certified.
Reishi grown by this wood log technique is superior to the lab grown, mycelium on grain alternatives on the market because it is natural, potent, clean, and sustainable. The logs are inoculated in a very clean environment, and once the inoculation has been taken, the logs are buried in the mountain soil. Over several months the logs are completely converted to Ganoderma mycelium, the whitish fungal mass. Eventually, the fruiting body (the mushroom stalk and head or cap) emerges and grows to maturity. Like all living things, Reishi is what it eats. If it is grown on a log derived from a very vigorous kind of tree, the potency of the Reishi is greater.
How exactly do you make a mushroom extract?
It’s a multi-step process! First, fresh mushroom fruiting bodies are harvested from their cultivation site and laid out to dry. Once they are dried, the mushrooms are ground into a powder.
Then, the powder is cooked in water and/or alcohol. Water is used to release water soluble compounds and alcohol is introduced to release non-water-soluble compounds in some mushrooms.
This cooking breaks down the cell walls of the mushroom allowing for the extraction of the many compounds (Beta-D-glucans, cordycepin, and triterpenes to name a few). The mushroom cell walls are made up of chitin (pronounced KITE-IN), and our bodies don’t have the enzymes to break these down properly, so if we just eat fresh mushrooms these active compounds are not as bioavailable to us. Extraction makes these available and easier for our bodies to use. Steeping dried mushrooms in hot water to make a tea can offer similar results and this is how ancient cultures learned to get the highest benefit from their fungi before today’s sophisticated processes were developed.
The liquid resulting from cooking the mushrooms is drained and concentrated to the desired consistency. If any alcohol is used in the extraction, it is precipitated out (removed).
The liquid is then sent to a spray dryer, where it spins at high speed, removing all the water, leaving you with the fine powder that you see when you dive into our products! Amazing!
What are capsules made of?
Not all mushroom capsules are made the same, and the capsules we use at Eversio are REALLY different. Some brands use capsules made from gelatin (usually sourced from pork or beef), or wood cellulose.
At Eversio Wellness, we use USDA Organic certified fungi-based capsules for our mushroom capsule supplements. Our capsules are made from organic pullulan which is natural, vegan, halal, and kosher. Our pullulan is produced by growing the fungi Aureobasidium pullulans on certified organic tapioca starch.
These fungi-based capsules are ideal for mushroom supplements because of the benefits they offer:
- Free of any allergens
- Excellent moisture barrier
- Optimal prevention of oxidation
- Prolonged shelf life
- 100% eco-friendly
- 100% USDA Organic Certified
Eversio Wellness believes the future is fungi and we apply that belief to the smallest detail of our products, including the capsules we use.
What are other ingredients in your capsules?
Our capsules are made from organic certified vegan pullulan and they contain either 500mg, 450mg, or 250mg of organic mushroom extract as listed on the label. The other ingredients listed are in addition to these amounts.
The other ingredients you see listed under the ingredients are excipients that are required in very small amounts for the encapsulation process and are all naturally occurring, vegan, gluten-free, and non-GMO minerals and nutrients.
LEARN MORE.
What is Dicalcium Phosphate? – A mineral derived from phosphoric acid. Used as a supplement or antacid and as a source of calcium. LEARN MORE.
Why do some of your mushroom extracts taste so bitter?
That bitter taste comes from some of the compounds (like triterpenoids) that are made bio-available through the hot water or alcohol extraction process our mushrooms experience before making their way to your taste buds. So, the more bitter the better. Bitter Reishi is a high-quality Reishi! This bitterness helps mushroom extracts pair well with coffee or chocolate. Try it!
How will I know if the mushroom extracts I'm taking are working or not?
Functional mushrooms are adaptogens that work over long periods of time. Although some people say they notice a change in their wellness after just a few doses, the real benefits of functional mushrooms are obtained through prolonged use.
Are your refill pouches compostable?
Eversio mushroom extract capsules and blends come in 100% home compostable refill pouches for a healthier you and a healthier planet. Thanks to the addition of our lightweight and compostable refill pouches, our refill system cuts down on carbon emissions and waste.
Our compostable pouches are made by BioPouches.
What is the point of your sustainable refill system?
Put simply, the world needs to stop creating so much packaging – of any kind! Less packaging = a happier planet!
In our dream world, we would have every customer walk over to our place to say hello and pick up their mushroom extracts in their own favourite container of choice! No packaging! Imagine that!
However, most of you live too far away to do that, so we thought long and hard about how we could get your mushroom wellness support to you with the least amount of impact on the planet possible. That’s how our sustainable refill system was born.
Glass is infinitely reusable and recyclable and it does an excellent job of looking great and keeping what’s inside fresh, safe, and easy to access.
The trouble with glass is that many communities (including ours) don’t allow consumers to recycle any glass in curbside recycling bins. So, people end up throwing it into the garbage when they no longer have a use for it.
That’s why we decided to give you just one glass jar for each of your mushroom extracts - to keep forever! Don’t recycle it and don’t throw it away.
Instead, when it’s almost empty, order your refill from our website, and we will send you more capsules in a 100% home compostable refill pouch that you can open, pour into your original jar, and then compost!
The other issue with glass containers (and all rigid plastic containers) is that they require much more energy to manufacture and transport than flexible packaging.
When transporting packaging to manufacturers, flexible options weigh considerably less and take up less space than rigid packaging, which means you can ship more in each truckload, making fewer runs, using less fuel, and reducing CO2 emissions.
Rigid plastic packaging has created a global recycling crisis because it is so often not delivered to its intended recycling facility. People think they are doing their part when they toss plastic into the recycle bin, but the reality of where that plastic actually ends up is another story. It’s upsetting to hear this, and we don’t want anyone to stop recycling, but as consumers, we can do better by not buying things that create issues for our planet when we are done with them.
Check out this CBC News story: Exposing Recycling Myths
Do your products expire?
Yes, they do. Please see the label on each mushroom supplement for its exact expiry date. In general, our extracts have been tested for potency and stability for up to 2 years after they are packaged. If you use the extracts daily, you will likely use the product in less than two months.
How should I store my mushrooms?
Our functional mushrooms can become sensitive to heat, light, and moisture over time, so they need to be kept in an airtight container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Our glass jars are the best place to store your capsules or blends because they protect what's inside from oxygen, moisture, and light. You can also keep your mushrooms in the fridge.
Safety Concerns
Your safety is our top priority. Learn about the rigorous testing and quality control processes that ensure our mushroom supplements are safe for consumption.
What is QCE (Quantity Crude Equivalent)?
Quantity Crude Equivalent (QCE) is the starting quantity of crude material that was used to create a smaller amount of concentrated extract product.
The strength of functional mushroom extracts is generally expressed as a ratio of dried mushroom material to final extract quantity, also known as the Quantity Crude Equivalent (QCE). It is expressed in the following format:
X : Y
X = weight of dried whole fruiting body functional mushrooms
Y = weight of concentrated powder produced after extraction (extract)
The concept here is that the compounds locked inside of the dried mushroom material (X) are found in the quantity of final extract (Y) and the majority of other elements have been excluded.
Essentially, it's the amount of functional mushrooms we started with compared to the amount of finished concentrated product you receive in your beneficial dose.
QCE is an important feature that must be listed on the label of a functional mushroom supplement if it is an extract produced in Canada.
High quality products list QCE in order to identify how concentrated they are. This is required for products that have an NPN licence from Health Canada.
Here's a breakdown of QCE using Chill Now reishi extract capsules as an example:
- Chill Now contains a 15:1 dual extract of Reishi
- 2 capsules = 500 mg
- 2 capsules = 7500 mg QCE
But which of these numbers is it? Why are there two?
Each capsule of Chill Now contains 250 mg of reishi extract, so with 2 capsules, you're receiving 500 mg
Since Chill Now is a 15:1 dual extract, we need to pay attention to the extraction ratio (15:1)
Here is how we calculate QCE:
Take the amount in 2 capsules (500 mg) and multiply by the first number in the extraction ratio (15:1)
500 mg x 15 = 7500 mg QCE
With 2 capsules, you are receiving 7500 mg QCE of dried whole Reishi
In other words, with 2 capsules (500 mg - the final preparation), you are receiving all of the compounds that came from 7500 mg crude material (and none of the other fibrous matter).
What is the daily max QCE of each functional mushroom as per Health Canada's Mushroom Monograph:
- Cordyceps daily max QCE = 9,000 mg
- Chaga daily max QCE = 3,600 mg
- Lion's Mane daily max QCE = 12,000 mg
- Maitake daily max QCE = 7,000 mg
- Reishi daily max QCE = 15,000 mg
- Shiitake daily max QCE = 16,000 mg
- Tremella daily max QCE = 9,000mg
- Turkey Tail daily max QCE = 27,000 mg
Here are the QCEs for each of our products:
Chill Now - 2 capsules deliver:
- Reishi 15:1 dual extract = 7,500 mg QCE

What is a Beneficial Dose?
Not all mushroom supplements are made equal. At Eversio Wellness, we use only the whole fruiting body of organic mushrooms to ensure our mushroom extract blends and capsules are concentrated.
All Eversio Wellness products provide concentrated extract in every capsule. For most products, taking 2 capsules is still within Health Canada's dosage guidelines, and may provide better support more quickly. All our products were dosed according to Health Canada's mushroom monograph for each functional mushroom.*
*We recommend consulting your healthcare provider before starting new supplements. They will best be able to create and/or recommend a mushroom wellness routine to support your healthy living goals.
Can I give mushroom extracts to my kids?
Functional mushrooms for children is a tough one!
We understand why many parents would like to offer their children the adaptogenic and health-supporting effects of functional mushrooms; however, the Health Canada Mushroom Monograph does not provide any recommendations for this population.
Currently, Health Canada's guidelines do not recommend mushroom products for anyone under the age of 18.
We can't advise you on a dosage for your little ones.
Use of concentrated mushroom extracts like ours is “science in progress” and we have no doubt that we will be learning more about their use with children very soon!
Until then, we encourage you to consult your healthcare provider before introducing any supplement to you or your child's wellness routine.
Can I give mushroom extracts to my pets?
Yes!

Are mushroom extracts safe to take during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
The only functional mushrooms that come WITHOUT a Health Canada caution statement regarding pregnancy and breastfeeding are REISHI, SHIITAKE, and MAITAKE. All of the others carry this Health Canada caution statement:
"Consult a health care practitioner/health care provider/health care professional/doctor/physician prior to use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding."
Clinical studies demonstrating the safety of consuming adaptogens/functional mushrooms during this stage of life are lacking as it is considered unethical to conduct trials on this population.
It is best that you consult your health care provider prior to use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Are there any drug interactions for functional mushrooms?
Health Canada's Mushroom Monograph recommends that you consult a health care practitioner prior to the use of Shiitake if you are taking blood thinners (anti-coagulants), and prior to the use of Maitake if you have diabetes.
We always recommend to consult your health care provider before introducing any supplement into your wellness routine.
